The NAIA National Office announced its National Athlete of the Week selections for outdoor track & field on Wednesday.
Landon Miller of Indiana Wesleyan was named the Men’s Track Athlete of the Week after winning the steeplechase at the IWU Polar Bear Invitational in 9:13.68.
Ineh Emmanuel of William Carey (Miss.) was named the Men’s Field Athlete of the Week after sweeping the horizontal jumps at the Al Schmidt Bulldog Relays with school-record efforts: He went 8.07m (26-5¾) in the long jump and 16.08m (52-9¼) in the triple jump.
Emily Kearney of Milligan (Tenn.) was named the Women’s Track Athlete of the Week after winning the 10,000 meters at the Montreat College Invitational in 33:09.65.
Brittany Jones of William Carey (Miss.) was named the Women’s Field Athlete of the Week after finishing second in the long jump and 12th in the triple jump at the Al Schmidt Bulldog Relays.
