2020 NCAA DI Women's Cross Country National Coaches' Poll – Week 7
NEW ORLEANS – Only two days after the Week 6 poll was released, we’re ready for final edition of the NCAA Division I Women’s Cross Country National Coaches’ Poll.
For the first time, the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) is releasing a National Coaches’ Poll at the conclusion of Conference Championships Friday. The NCAA Selection Show will take place on Sunday, March 7 at 1 pm ET on NCAA.com.
Don’t forget, the rescheduled 2020 NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships in Stillwater, Oklahoma on March 15 will be televised on ESPNU and through the ESPN App beginning at 12:30 pm ET.

Arkansas is No. 1, followed by No. 2 BYU and No. 3 New Mexico. No. 4 Stanford and No. 5 NC State traded places from Wednesday’s poll following the results of the Pac-12 Championships. No. 6 Colorado, No. 7 Michigan State, No. 8 Michigan and No. 9 Northern Arizona remained steady.
New Mexico solidified its spot as the No. 3 claiming the team title at the Mountain West Championships, 29-52 over Boise State. The Lady Lobos had all five scoring runners place in the top-10, finishing 2-4-6-7-10. Adva Cohen was the top runner with a runner-up finish in 20:02.3. Amelia Mazza-Downie finished in fourth in her first Mountain West Championships.
Jumping back to Stanford, the Cardinal earned the nod to be the No. 4 team in the final National Coaches’ Poll. Stanford won their second consecutive Pac-12 title, beating Colorado by 20 points, 30-50. The Cardinal placed three runners in the top-5, with all five scoring runners finishing in the top-12. The trio of Ella Donaghu, Zofia Dudek and Julia Heymach was the 2-3-4 punch for Stanford, respectively.
Michigan proved their worth at the FSU Winter XC Last Chance Invitational, sweeping the top-7 spots for a perfect 15. Ericka VanderLende won the individual title in 20:31.3 to lead the Wolverines.
No. 10 Boise State gained a spot in the National Coaches’ Poll after its second place finish at the Mountain West Championships. The Broncos scored 52 points and placed two in the top-5. Tyler Beling was the top Bronco in third, with Olivia Johnson shortly behind in fifth.
Earning a new spot after results from Conference Championship Friday are No. 23 Oregon State and No. 25 Connecticut. The Beavers finished fourth in the team standings at the Pac-12 Championships. Previously unranked UConn jumped into the poll after its fight at the BIG EAST Championships, finishing second by just two points to No. 21 Georgetown, 46-48.
