2021 NAIA Men's Indoor Track & Field Rating Index – Week 2
NEW ORLEANS – The 2021 indoor track & field season continues to move forward
Here is the second installment of the 2021 NAIA Men’s Indoor track & Field National TFRI.

Indiana Tech remains atop of the National TFRI for the second consecutive week. The Warriors have accumulated 12 national top-5 marks and 17 top-10 marks. They are led by two national leading marks by Jaylen Coleman in the triple jump (15.04/49-4¼) as well as the 4×800 relay (7:50.78c). Indiana Tech also has multiple athletes ranked inside the top-5 in the 60, 200, 60H, high jump, and triple jump.
Doane (Neb.) jumps up to No. 2 this week after posting six national top-10 marks over the weekend. Sophomore Matthew Campbell led the way with two top-10 throws of 18.88m (61- 11½) in the weight throw (No. 2 nationally) and 16.08m (52-9¼) in the shot put (No. 8 nationally). Sophomore Sergio Arcos also scored 4694 points this weekend for a No. 3 national mark in the heptathlon. Junior Jacob Heitkamp continues to hold down the No. 1 spot in the high jump at 2.17m (7-1½).
Dordt (Iowa) comes in this week at No. 3. The Defenders posted five top-15 marks this weekend, led by senior Jacob Vander Plaats in the mile (4:17.78c) and freshman Payton Mauldin in the 800 (1:54.43c). Dordt continues to secure three No. 1 rankings as Mauldin leads the way in the 600 (1:19.09c), Matthew Van Eps in the 800 (1:51.06c) and the 4×400 (3:15.04c).
Concordia (Neb.) remains at No. 4 this week after five nationally-ranked top-10 performances over the weekend. The DMR clocked a time of 10:23.22 for at No. 5 national rank. Sophomore Wyatt Loga and junior Cody Williams tied for the fourth-ranked spot in the high jump (2.06m/6-9), while sophomore Chris Wren posted a throw of 18.74m (58-22½) to come in at No. 10 nationally. The Bulldogs have four additional top-five marks, led by Williams who leads the country in the heptathlon with 5,030 points.
Saint Mary (Kan.) jumps to No. 5 this week after senior Luke Skinner posted two-nationally ranked top five performances in the 1000m (2:25.94) and in the 800 (1:54.13). The Spires also had five additional top-15 marks over the weekend as senior Eric Vazquez now ranks No. 2 in the 1000 at 2:29.72 and No. 12 in the 800 at 1:55.27. The Saint Mary 4×400 relay also clocked a time of 3:20.02, a mark that now puts them at No. 5 nationally.
Here are the rest of the top-10 teams in Week 2: No. 6 Friends (Kan.), No. 7 USC Beaufort (S.C.), No. 8 Grand View (Iowa), No. 9 Hastings (Neb.) and No. 10 Mount Marty (S.D.).
