2021 NCAA DI Women's Indoor Track & Field Rating Index – Week 5

NEW ORLEANS – While the majority of teams rested this weekend with their upcoming conference meets, others that took to the track shuffled the order of the newest 2021 NCAA Division I Women’s Indoor Track & Field National TFRI, released Monday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
No. 1 Arkansas, No. 2 Texas A&M, No. 3 Texas, No. 4 Georgia and No. 5 Southern California take residence within the top-5. The only change from a week ago was between the Longhorns and Bulldogs trading places following the outcomes of competition this past weekend.

No. 14 NC State was the biggest mover of the week following a nine spot improvement. The Wolfpack added three top-10 nationally ranked marks at the Camel City Invitational. Individually, Hannah Steelman notched the seventh best time in the 3000 (9:00.70c/9:05.33) and Kelsey Chimel ran the 10th fastest 5000 (15:50.94c/15:58.22). The Wolfpack DMR ran 11:08.74 (11:15.90) for the No. 8 time on the Descending Order List, finishing second to Virginia Tech (No. 6, 11:04.66c/11:11.78) and ahead of third place West Virginia (No. 10, 11:09.64c/11:16.81).
Kansas State improved their ranking by three spots to No. 22. The top Wildcat from their own KSU Steve Miller Invitational was Taylor Latimer with the No. 16 mark in the shot put.
The 2021 NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships, which will be held March 11-13 at the Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Live coverage of the NCAA Championships will be available online via ESPN3 and the ESPN App. A tape-delay telecast of the meet will debut on ESPNU on Sunday, March 14 at 9 pm ET.
