NOTE: In lieu of the canceled NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships, Wartburg College has created the DIII Elite Championships. Invited to compete on March 12-13 will be the regular season’s top-16 individuals and top-12 relays, as verified by TFRRS Descending Order List.
UW-La Crosse, with its 17 national top-10 marks, held steady at No. 1 for the second week in a row. The Eagles dotted the national leaderboard with performances this past weekend, including a pair of NCAA DIII toppers by Skye Digman in the weight throw (17.95m/58-10¾) and Ashley O’Connell in the pole vault (3.50m/11-5¾).
John Carroll moved up one spot from No. 3 to No. 2. The Blue Streaks received a national-leading effort by Courtney Phoennik in the triple jump at 12.07m (39-7¼). Phoennik had a busy weekend as she also notched a top-10 mark in the long jump at 5.50m (18-0½).
Wartburg fell one spot to No. 3 to no fault of its own. The Knights saw Dani Johnson bolster their resume with a 16.27m (53-4½) heave in the weight throw that sits ninth nationally.
No. 4 Loras and No. 5 Central (Iowa) round out the top-5 in consecutive weeks.
Here are the rest of the top-10 teams in Week 4: No. 6 UW-Oshkosh, No. 7 UW-Eau Claire, No. 8 Dubuque, No. 9 Hope and No. 10 Illinois Wesleyan.
