2021 NCAA DIII Women's Outdoor Track & Field Rating Index – Week 3
NEW ORLEANS – Only four top-25 teams remained in place between Week 2 and Week of the NCAA Division III Women’s Outdoor Track & Field National Rating Index!
And when only one of those teams was in the top-5, you better believe a new look top-5 and top-10 are in store when the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released the newest installment of the National TFRI on Tuesday afternoon.

UW-La Crosse is No. 1 after some notable efforts at the UW-Platteville Invitational this past weekend. The Eagles saw Abby Meidl take over the national lead in the pole vault at 3.71m (12-2), Skye Digman improve her No. 2 billing in the shot put to 13.87m (45-6¼) and the 4×100 relay team top the NCAA DIII Descending Order List at 47.62.
Loras jumped four spots from No. 6 to No. 2. The Duhawks added or improved six national top-10 marks this past weekend at the Wartburg Outdoor Select, including Kassie Rosenbum’s 16:45.82 effort that sits second on the 5000-meter list and the fourth-ranked efforts from Grace Alley and Alyssa Pfadenhauer in the heptathlon and 400, respectively.
Former No. 1 George Fox dropped two spots to No. 3, right in front of No. 4 Johns Hopkins, which didn’t budge from last week. The Blue Jays helped their cause with a trio of national top-5 marks this past weekend, including the No. 2 mark in the 5000 from Ella Baran of 16:40.85.
Mount Union climbed three spots from No. 8 to No. 5. The Purple Raiders received four new or improved national top-10 marks this past weekend, including two from Kennady Gibbins. The sophomore is now ranked first nationally in the heptathlon at 4660 points and third in the high jump at 1.69m (5-6½).
Here are the rest of the top-10 teams in Week 3: No. 6 Nebraska Wesleyan, No. 7 Ithaca, No. 8 SUNY Geneseo, No. 9 John Carroll and No. 10 Washington (Mo.).
The 2021 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be held May 27-29 at the Irwin Belk Track on the campus of North Carolina A&T University in Greensboro.
