2021 NJCAA Men's Indoor Track & Field Rating Index – Week 2

Here is the newest edition of the NJCAA Men’s Indoor Track & Field National Rating Index that was released on Wednesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Iowa Central CC headlines the National TFRI for the second week in a row. Right now, the Tritons have 30 national top-10 marks spread across all event areas. While Iowa Central CC only has one national leader in Danshinelle Dyer (60H), it features multiple top-10 marks in the 60 (x2), 800 (x2), 1000 (x2), mile (x3), 5000 (x3), 60H (x2), high jump (x2), triple jump (x2), weight throw (x3) and relays (x2).
Cloud County CC jumped two spots from Week 1 to No. 2 in Week 2. The T-Birds starred at the Region VI/KJCCC Invitational this past weekend, putting up 11 marks that reside in the top-10 nationally. Two-time National Athlete of the Week Courtney Lawrence notched one of the best shot put marks in NJCAA history at 18.92m (62-1).
Indian Hills CC and Iowa Western CC both shuffled down one spot to accommodate Cloud County CC. The Warriors now come in at No. 3, while the Reivers slot in at No. 4. Out of those teams, Indian Hills CC continues to be the surprise as it owns three national-leading marks after this past weekend in the 200 (Aurel Tchanbi), 1000 (Jackson Burnett) and 4×800 relay.
Barton County CC rounds out the top-5 once again at No. 5. The Cougars maintain eight marks ranked in the top-10 nationally.
