2021 NJCAA Women's Indoor Track & Field Rating Index – Week 2
NEW ORLEANS – The NJCAA Indoor Track & Field season is heating up!
Here is the newest NJCAA Women’s Indoor Track & Field National Rating Index that was released on Wednesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Cloud County CC hasn’t budged from its perch atop the National TFRI. The T-Birds are still ranked No. 1 for the second week in a row after starring at the Region VI/KJCCC Invitational this past weekend. Cloud County CC added four national-leading marks to its haul: Mercy Ntia-Obong is now No. 1 in the 200 at 24.14; Patricia Koma is now No. 1 in the 1000 at 3:09.33, The T-Birds now also have the top-ranked DMR (13:11.24) and 4×800 relay (9:40.29).
Barton County CC jumped two spots from Week 1 to No. 2 in Week 2. The Cougars have been a force in the field with 11 national top-10 marks, including national-leading marks in the long jump from Annia Ashley at 5.74m (18-10) and shot put from Ana Da Silva at 14.62m (47-11¾). Ashley is also ranked among the top-3 competitors in the triple jump.
Iowa Central CC and Iowa Western CC both fell one spot to coincide with Barton County CC’s rise in the rankings. The third-ranked Tritons picked up two national-leading marks this past weekend in the 60H from Hannah Connell at 8.42 and the weight throw from two-time National Athlete of the Week Victoria Adu, who bettered her own national lead and notched an all-time mark of 19.61m (64-4). The Reivers have three NJCAA-leading efforts of their own.
South Plains College made its debut this past weekend and enters the National TFRI at No. 5. The Texans notched 13 national top-10 marks at the South Plains College Indoor Invitational, which was contested outdoors. Onaara Obamuwagun is now the top-ranked triple jumper in the nation at 13.38m (43-10¾).
