COLLEGIATE RECORD: Baylor's Lightfoot Raises The Bar … Again

KC Lightfoot just raised the bar on collegiate history.
Two weeks after breaking the collegiate indoor record in the pole vault, Lightfoot bettered it on Saturday.

The Baylor junior cleared 5.95m (19-5½) at the Texas Tech Invitational in Lubbock. That came on his second attempt at the height. Lightfoot had a clean sheet before then.
Lightfoot also matched 2015 The Bowerman finalist Shawn Barber for the most 19-foot clearances in collegiate indoor history with nine. He entered the meet with seven, got his eighth earlier in the series when he made quick work of 5.85m (19-2¼) and well, you know the ninth.
