2021 NJCAA Men's Indoor Track & Field Rating Index – Week 4

NEW ORLEANS – There were a few notable changes to the most recent edition of the 2021 NJCAA Men’s Indoor Track & Field National Rating Index that was released on Wednesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Just know that it’s high time for athletes and teams to make their final push in advance of the NJCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships, set for March 4-6 at the Robert W. Plaster Center in Pittsburg, Kansas.

Iowa Central CC and Cloud County CC maintained their respective No. 1 and No. 2 rankings. The Tritons added or improved nine top-10 marks this past weekend, while the T-Birds helped themselves with six, including a national leader from Daniel Cope in the weight throw at 19.04m (62-5¾).
South Plains (Texas) jumped one spot from No. 4 in Week 3 to No. 3 in Week 4. The Texans have 14 marks that are ranked among the national top-10, including a national leader from Romaine Beckford in the high jump at 2.20m (7-2½). James Hampton is ranked second nationally in the high jump to give them a solid 1-2 punch in that event.
Barton (Kan.) CC is now ranked fourth following some big efforts over the past weekend. The Cougars added or improved three marks that reside in the national top-5, all from the throwing events: Fred Moudani is now No. 2 in the shot put (18.08m/59-4) and No. 5 in the weight throw (16.30m/53-5¾); Giovanni Gutierrez holds down the No. 4 spot in the shot put (15.84m/51-11¾).
Indian Hills CC dropped two spots from No. 3 to No.5.
Here are the rest of the top-10 teams in Week 4: No. 6 Iowa Western CC, No. 7 Cowley College, No. 8 Coffeyville CC, No. 9 Hawkeye CC and No. 10 Northwest Kansas Tech.
