2021 NCAA DI Women's Indoor Track & Field Rating Index – Week 6

NEW ORLEANS – An exciting Conference Championship Weekend trickled down into the the newest NCAA Division I Women’s Indoor Track & Field National Rating Index, as released by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Monday afternoon. 
The top-5 remained fairly steady with No. 1 Arkansas, No. 2 Texas A&M, No. 3 Texas, and No. 4 Georgia holding positions from a week ago. No. 5 Florida was the lone change after improving two spots for its first top-5 appearance this season. In addition to Florida, 19 other teams moved throughout the rest of the National TFRI.

The top-ranked Razorbacks only cemented why they are the top team this season following the program’s seventh consecutive SEC title and added to their haul of nationally ranked marks.  Jada Baylark clocked the No. 4 time in the 60 of 7.18, while Katie Izzo improved on her season best in the 3000 at 8:56.55. Arkansas’ 4×400 also turned in a season best effort of 3:28.90 for the second fastest time this season.
The Aggies were highlighted by Athing Mu’s performance in the 800 this weekend. Mu shattered the four year old collegiate record in the 800 in 1:58.40. She bettered her national lead by 2.67 second.
Texas won the team’s fourth straight title at the Big 12 Championships. The Longhorns turned in five performances that rank within the top-5 nationally. Chanel Brissett regained the national lead in the 60H after winning the event crown in 7.91c (7.89A). Kynnedy Flannel improved her season best in the 200 at 22.62c (22.55A), Stacey-Ann Williams moved up to No. 3 in the 400 with a time of 51.71c (51.60A).
Georgia earned three improved season bests at the SEC Championships that rank within the top-5 in their respective events. The Bulldogs boast a pair of No. 2 marks by Anna Hall and Jasmine Moore. Hall’s top clearance of 1.89m (6-2¼) in the high jump during her win in the pentathlon, and Moore in the triple jump after soaring 13.97m (45-10). Julia Fixsen moved up to No. 4 in the pole vault with a season best of 4.40m (14-5¼).
The fifth-ranked Gators moved up to a season’s best ranking in the National TFRI off the strength of seven top-10 nationally ranked marks, with three of them sitting in the top-5. Talitha Diggs and Taylor Manson clocked two of the top times this season in the 400, sitting at No. 2 (51.14) and No. 4 (51.82), respectively. The pair was also part of the Gators’ 4×400 that clocked a season best (No. 5, 3:31.75).

The 2021 NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships, which will be held March 11-13 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Live coverage of the NCAA Championships will be available online via ESPN3 and the ESPN App. A tape-delay telecast of the meet will debut on ESPNU on Sunday, March 14 at 9 p.m., Eastern.
