2021 NCAA DIII Men's Indoor Track & Field Rating Index – Week 6

NEW ORLEANS – The winds of change continued to sweep through the NCAA Division III Men’s Indoor Track & Field National Rating Index.
The most recent National TFRI, released on Tuesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, saw 20 of the top-25 teams shift spots from Week 5, including eight of the top-10 programs. No. 1 Wartburg, No. 2 UW-Oshkosh, No. 12 North Central (Ill.), No. 17 Knox and No. 18 Capital were the only stalwarts from the previous week.

NOTE: In lieu of the canceled NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships, Wartburg College has created the DIII Elite Championships. Invited to compete on March 12-13 will be the regular season’s top-16 individuals and top-12 relays, as verified by TFRRS Descending Order List.
UW-Whitewater is now ranked third following a weekend that saw it add or improve two top-10 marks on the Descending Order List. David Fassbender recorded the nation’s third-fastest time in the 5000 at 14:24.57c (14:33.83), while Josh Krystosek cleared 2.02m (6-7½) in the high jump to put himself at No. 3 on that event chart.
UW-La Crosse jumped two spots from No. 6 to No. 4 after some notable efforts. The Eagles added or improved six national top-10 marks to their ledger this past weekend, including two from Evan Daley (No. 2 high jump, No. 8 heptathlon). Not only that, but Tommy Knoche is now sixth in the pole vault at 4.78m (15-8¼) with Ben Jones at No. 5 in the heptathlon (4920).
UW-Eau Claire was the Biggest Mover of the Week in the top-10, as it soared eight spots from No. 14 to No. 6, right behind No. 5 Loras. It was a huge weekend for the Blugolds in the multi, as they turned in the No. 1 (Marcus Weaver, 5117), No. 2 (Abraham Schroedl, 4961) and No. 4 (Mitch Stegman, 4905) marks on the Descending Order List.
