2020 NCAA DI Men's Cross Country Regional Rankings – Week 7
NEW ORLEANS – Let’s check the final NCAA Division I Men’s Cross Country Regional Rankings for the 2020 season, which were released on Tuesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
With no Regional Championships this year, this is the closest thing we have to finding out which teams impressed the most during one of the strangest years in the sport.

Great Lakes Region
There were a few changes to the top-5 in the Great Lakes Region.
Wisconsin and Notre Dame remained No. 1 and No. 2, respectively, but with Michigan not making the NCAA meet, it dropped all the way down to No. 7, which shifted Indiana to No. 3, Michigan State to No. 4, Purdue to No. 5 and Butler to No. 6.
Mid-Atlantic Region
There was one major change to the top-5 in the Mid-Atlantic Region.
Georgetown and Villanova went head-to-head at the BIG EAST Championships this past weekend and to the top team, goes the spoils. The Hoyas finished runner-up to Butler, so that means they go to No. 2 in Week 7, while the third-place Wildcats dropped to No. 2.
Navy, Pittsburgh and Temple are still No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5, respectively.
Midwest Region
There were no changes to the top-5 in the Midwest Region.
Oklahoma State and Iowa State remained No. 1 and No. 2, followed by No. 3 Tulsa, No. 4 Nebraska and No. 5 Kansas State.
Mountain Region
There were a few changes to the top-5 in the Mountain Region.
BYU, Northern Arizona and Colorado remained No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3, but Mountain West champion Air Force jumped two spots following its conference title, while shifted both Mountain West runner-up Utah State and Southern Utah down one spot.
Northeast Region
There were a few changes to the top-5 in the Northeast Region.
Iona remained No. 1 following yet another MAAC crown, while Syracuse jumped one spot to No. 2 after a strong effort at the FSU Winter XC Last Chance Invitational. UMass Lowell is now No. 3 after winning the America East and former No. 2 UConn dropped two spots to No. 4, right ahead of new No. 5 Providence.
South Region
There was one minor change to the top-5 in the South Region.
Ole Miss and Georgia remained No. 1 and No. 2, followed by No. 3 Florida State and No. 4 Tennessee, while ASUN champion North Florida climbed two spots to No. 5.
South Central Region
There were no changes to the top-5 in the South Central Region.
Arkansas and Texas remained No. 1 and No. 2, followed by No. 3 Southeastern Louisiana, No. 4 Rice and No. 5 LSU.
Southeast Region
There were no changes to the top-5 in the Southeast Region.
NC State and Wake Forest remained No. 1 and No. 2, followed by No. 3 Virginia, No. 4 Duke and No. 5 Charlotte.
West Region
There were a few changes to the top-5 in the West Region.
Pac-12 champion Stanford and Pac-12 third-place team Washington remained No. 1 and No. 2, while Pac-12 fourth-place team Oregon dropped two spots to No. 5, which shifted both Gonzaga and Portland up one spot to No. 3 and No. 4, respectively.
