2020 NCAA DI Women's Cross Country Regional Rankings – Week 7

NEW ORLEANS – Here are the final NCAA Division I Women’s Cross Country Regional Rankings of the 2020 season, released Tuesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Don’t forget: The 2020 NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships are Monday, March 15 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. The action will be live on ESPNU and through the ESPN app starting at 12:30 pm ET.

Great Lakes Region

There weren’t any changes to the order of the top-5 programs in the Great Lakes Region.
Michigan State and Michigan are in a tie for No. 1, followed by No. 3 Indiana, No. 4 Ohio State and No. 5 Wisconsin.

Mid-Atlantic Region

There was one change to the order of the top-5 in the Mid-Atlantic Region.
Georgetown stayed at No. 1 after squeaking out the team title at the BIG EAST Championships. West Virginia, Villanova and Penn State stayed at No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4, respectively. Atlantic 10 champion Duqunese climbed eight spots to No. 5.

Midwest Region

There were no changes made to the top-5 of the Midwest Region.
No. 1 Minnesota remained the top team, followed by No. 2 Illinois, No. 3 Oklahoma State, No. 4 Iowa State and No. 5 Tulsa.

Mountain Region

The Mountain Region’s top-5 had a few changes since the last set of regional rankings.
BYU is back to No. 1 and bumped Mountain West champion New Mexico back to No. 2. No. 3 Northern Arizona, No. 4 Colorado and No. 5 Colorado State remained unchanged. 

Northeast Region

There were a few changes to the order of the top-5 programs in the Northeast Region.
BIG EAST runner-up UConn stayed at No. 1, while BIG EAST third-place team Providence jumped two spots to No. 2.
Syracuse and MAAC champions Iona remained at No. 3 and No. 5, respectively. The Friars shift knocked No. 4 Boston College down two spots.

South Region

No changes occurred to the order of the top-5 teams in the South Region.
Alabama and Georgia Tech remain at No. 1 and No. 2, respectively, followed by No. 3 Florida State, No. 4 Ole Miss and No. 5 Tennessee.

South Central Region

There were no changes to the order of the South Central Region’s top-5.
Arkansas remains at No. 1, followed by No. 2 Texas, No. 3 LSU, No. 4 Baylor and No. 5 Arkansas State.

Southeast Region

There were no changes to the top-5’s order in the Southeast Region.
NC State remained at No. 1, followed by No. 2 Duke, No. 3 Furman, No. 4 UNC and No. 5 Liberty.

West Region

There were two changes to the top-5 in the West Region.
Pac-12 champion Stanford and Mountain West runner-up Boise State stayed at No. 1 and No. 2, respectively. Washington climbed one spot to No. 3 after a third-place finish in the Pac-12. Portland fell to No. 4, while San Francisco stayed at No. 5.
