2021 NCAA DIII Men's Indoor Track & Field Rating Index – Week 7

NEW ORLEANS – There were a few changes to the top-10 of the final NCAA Division III Men’s Indoor Track & Field National Rating Index of the 2021 season, released on Tuesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Six of the top-10 programs switched spots, including three of the top-5, as the regular season drew to a close.

NOTE: In lieu of the canceled NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships, Wartburg College has created the DIII Elite Championships. Invited to compete on March 12-13 will be the regular season’s top-16 individuals and top-12 relays, as verified by TFRRS Descending Order List.
Wartburg ends the season the same place it began – on top. The Knights actually cemented their hold on the No. 1 spot this past weekend with six new or improved top-10 marks, namely a national-leading effort by Dallas Wright in the 400 (48.42). Joe Freiburger went 14:25.87 in the 5000 to hold down the No. 2 spot in the 5000, while Deyton Love turned in an 8.06 clocking in the 60H for the second-best mark in NCAA DIII this season.
UW-La Crosse jumped two spots from No. 4 to No. 2 since Week 6. The Eagles soared thanks to eight new or improved marks in the national top-10, including a 60-200 double from Seth Holden that saw him take over the national lead in the 200 at 21.50c (21.88) and move into the No. 2 spot in the 60 at 6.82.
UW-Oshkosh and UW-Whitewater, the former No. 2 and No. 3 programs in the National TFRI, both dropped one spot to no fault of their own. The Titans witness a big effort from Jonathan Wilburn in the triple jump, which extended his national lead in the event to 15.22m (49-11¼), while the Warhawks got a national leader from David Fassbender in the 3000 at 8:13.65c (8:19.39), which pairs well with his No. 2 mark in the 5000.
Loras held steady at No. 5 for yet another week. The Duhawks received a great performance from Ryan Rogers this past weekend, as the senior moved up to No. 4 and No. 5 on the Descending Order List in the pole vault and long jump, respectively.
