2021 NCAA DIII Women's Indoor Track & Field Rating Index – Week 7

NEW ORLEANS – The NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field regular season drew to a close this past weekend and with that, meant some changes to the final installment of the Women’s National Rating Index, which was released on Tuesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Eight of the top-10 shifted spots between Week 6 and Week 7 as athletes stepped it up a notch at various conference championships and last chance meets.

NOTE: In lieu of the canceled NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships, Wartburg College has created the DIII Elite Championships. Invited to compete on March 12-13 will be the regular season’s top-16 individuals and top-12 relays, as verified by TFRRS Descending Order List.
UW-La Crosse remained No. 1 and continued to cement itself on top. The Eagles added 11 new or improved national top-10 marks to their ledger, which included national leaders from Hannah Zenkovich in the 60H at 8.69 and Skye Digman in the shot put at 14.11m (46-3½). Digman is actually a double national leader with a top mark in the weight throw, while Zenkovich is joined in the national top-2 by Emma Lawrence at 8.71.
John Carroll jumped three spots from No. 5 to No. 2 thanks to its efforts at the OAC Indoor Championships this past weekend. The Blue Streaks added or improved six national top-10 marks, including a national leader from Lucia Cannata in the 60 at 7.65. Cannata also added another strong effort in the 200, which saw her notch the No. 2 mark nationally at 24.92c (25.30). Taylor Anthony (No. 5, 60), Sydney Jenko (No. 4, 5000) and Maria DeLuca (No. 5, long jump) also landed in the top-5 of their respective events.
UW-Eau Claire dropped one spot to No. 3 to no fault of its own. The Blugolds received a big mark from Catie Fobbe in the shot put of 13.96m (45-9¾), which ranks her fourth nationally. Right now, UW-Eau Claire has nine marks that reside in the national top-10.
UW-Oshkosh held steady at No. 4 and put up a pair of top-2 marks this past weekend. Zanzie Demco took over the national lead in the mile at 4:54.93c (4:57.84), while Sydney Thompson is now ranked second nationally in the shot put at 14.10m (46-3¼). Emma Warr continues to lead the nation in the pole vault at 3.70m (12-1½).
Loras ends the season at No. 5, but turned in some strong efforts at the A-R-C Indoor Championships. Marion Edwards led the way in the 60 with her 7.71 winner, which currently sits in a tie for No. 2 on the NCAA DIII Descending Order List.
