2021 NJCAA DIII Men's Outdoor Track & Field Rating Index – Week 2

NEW ORLEANS – Don’t look now, but we’re less than one month away from the 2021 NJCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships!
That means it’s a perfect time to check out the most recent edition of the NJCAA DIII Men’s Outdoor Track & Field National Rating Index, as released on Wednesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

College of DuPage remained at No. 1 following a big weekend. The Chaps added or improved 12 national top-10 marks to their ledger, including national leaders from Ryan Calhoun in the triple jump at 12.63m (41-5¼) and Chase Hall in the 100 at 11.44.
Mohawk Valley CC jumped into the National TFRI for the first time this season at No. 2. The Hawks recorded 17 national top-10 marks this past weekend, including a pair of national leaders from Andy Hadasz in the 100 (11.44) and 200 (23.44), as well as the top hammer throw from Jason Januario at 35.23m (125-7).
Mineral Area College dropped one spot from No. 2 to No. 3 to no fault of its own. The Cardinals added or improved 10 national top-10 marks this past weekend, including the top-4 marks in the 10,000 meters: Wyatt Elliott (No. 1, 33:49.47), Kyle Vinyard (No. 2, 33:58.19), Jacob Arnold (No. 3, 35:12.10) and Alex Ahrens (No. 4, 36:37.75). Two-time National Athlete of the Week Donovan Denslow is now a three-event national leader with top marks in the 800 (1:59.05), 1500 (4:00.18) and 5000 (15:18.62).
Rowan-Gloucester CC helped its cause, but not enough to stay at No. 3. The now fourth-ranked Roadrunners received two national-leading marks in the guise of Jacion Hammond in the 400 (51.77) as well as the 4×400 relay at 3:39.95.
St. Charles CC held steady at No. 5 for the second week in a row. The Cougars tallied nine new or improved national top-10 marks this past weekend, including chart-toppers from Joshua Butters in the 400H (1:13.02) and the 4×800 relay (9:08.86).
