2021 NJCAA DIII Women's Outdoor Track & Field Rating Index – Week 2
NEW ORLEANS – Don’t look now, but we’re less than one month away from the 2021 NJCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships!
That means it’s a perfect time to check out the most recent edition of the NJCAA DIII Women’s Outdoor Track & Field National Rating Index, as released on Wednesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

College of DuPage held steady at No. 1 for the second week in a row. The Chaps added or improved 11 national top-10 marks this past weekend, including the top-3 efforts in the 1500: Shaylinn Aver (No. 1, 5:21.37), Kelly Kibler (No. 2, 5:22.76) and Emily Fetzer (No. 3, 5:24.72). Two-time National Athlete of the Week Mia Tolbert also bettered her national lead in the 200 to 27.23 and pushed her seasonal best in the 100 to 13.54.
Mineral Area College didn’t budge from its position in the passenger seat. The second-ranked Cardinals added or improved nine national top-10 marks this past weekend, including three national-leading efforts: Jaylyn Woodley in the 100 (13.49), Haley Hernandez in the 10,000 (44:00.30) and Sophia Welch in the 100H (17.13).
Mohawk Valley CC jumped into the National TFRI for the first time this season at No. 3. The Hawks added five national top-10 marks to their ledger this past weekend, including a national-leading effort from Lexi Phillips in the triple jump at 9.91m (32-6¼).
Rowan-Gloucester CC dropped one spot to No. 4. The Roadrunners saw two national top-10 efforts from their athletes this past weekend, namely the No. 3 mark in the triple jump from Dreana Algarin of 9.04m (29-8).
St. Charles CC holds down the No. 5 spot in Week 2. The Cougars received a trio of strong marks from Emily Jesse, as she is now ranked No. 3 in the 400 (1:20.69), No. 9 in the 200 (36.51) and No. 10 in the 100 (16.84).
