Grant Holloway Breaks 60H World Record

It’s Grant Holloway’s world (record).

We’re just living through this magical time.

Holloway, the 2019 men’s winner of The Bowerman, broke the near 24-year-old world record in the 60 meter hurdles at the Villa de Madrid World Athletics Meeting tonight. He broke the tape in 7.29, 0.01 seconds faster than Colin Jackson stopped the clock back on March 6, 1994.

Earlier in the prelims, Holloway matched his own American record of 7.32.

Holloway now has five of the all-time top-8 times in world history: No. 1 (7.29), t-No. 3 (7.32), t-No. 3 (7.32), t-No. 7 (7.35) and t-No. 7 (7.35). What might be even more impressive is that he clocked four of those times this season alone.
