Weekend Preview: January 15-17
Our sixth sense is tingling.
That must mean the collegiate indoor track & field season is picking up.
We’re going to see a plethora of action across the nation this weekend, which includes meets featuring top talent from the NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NAIA and NJCAA levels.

Arkansas opens a very favorable schedule with the Arkansas Invitational this weekend. Over the course of the next eight weeks, the Razorbacks won’t have a need to leave the friendly confines of the newly-renovated Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville. All told, Arkansas will hold a total of five home meets featuring 24 different programs from four Power-5 Conferences (ACC, Big 12, SEC, Pac-12) and then host the SEC Indoor Championships on February 25-27 as well as the 2021 NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships on March 11-13.
Actually, chances are that if a program has a top-of-the-line facility, it will be hosting a meet this weekend: Clemson, Kentucky, LSU, Michigan, South Carolina, Texas A&M and Texas Tech all fall under that umbrella in NCAA Division I, among others; Grand Valley State, Pittsburg State and Washburn hit that mark in NCAA Division II; Doane (Neb.) and Mount Marty (S.D.) do so in the NAIA.
Remember: Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, participation in these meets can change rapidly. Results from this weekend will be found on TFRRS and our website.
